Not always, but many older properties and some newer subfloors have enough variation that levelling is needed for a solid, long-lasting result.
How long does floor levelling take to dry?
It depends on the product and depth applied, but self-levelling compound typically needs to cure for at least 24 hours before tiling can begin.
